Psalm 130:
7- 8 .....O Israel,
put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is
full redemption. He himself will redeem
Israel from all their sins.
What, do you think,
the word “redemption” means?
Being made whole? Being rescued? How does God make you whole? This is the meaning of Good Friday -- we are made whole in the love of God through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. We are redeemed and renewed through the Cross of Jesus.
Prayer: Great God,
You created us as whole people of God.
Each day may we open our hearts
and minds, and souls to Your teachings and Your wisdom. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
